TASMAN Cable System


TASMAN Cable (sometimes referred to as TASMAN 1) is a 480 channel (8 supergroup) analogue cable system manufactured by STC and was laid in 1973. The cable terminates at Broadway in Sydney and at Kumeu Cable Station in New Zealand. The Sydney landing point is Bondi Beach.

First and second level maintenance is provided by IFG staff based at Paddington, NSW. Third-level support is provided by the International Networks and Technology Group.
